The SpongeBob Series Bikini Bottom

SpongeBob and his friends live underwater in a city called “Bikini Bottom”  located at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. Although the residents of Bikini Bottom live underwater they function as though they live on the ground. Bikini Bottom is like a regular city with a downtown, suburbs, restaurants, stores, transportation and law enforcement system. All characters (except Sandy – the squirrel) are totally dependent on water for survival. If they leave the water they cannot survive. The inhabitants of Bikini Bottom are called “Bikini Bottomites”. The fish are the citizens of Bikini Bottom. The clams represent birds, the jellyfish represent bees, the underwater worms represent dogs and are kept on chains and the snails represent cats. For e.g. SpongeBob has a snail pet, Gary, who meows like a cat. The residents of Bikini Bottom drive boats, known as “boatmobiles”.

SpongeBob Characters

SpongeBob is the main character. SpongeBob has a pet snail named Gary. Patrick Star is a star fish and SpongeBob’s best friend. Squidward Tentacles is a quid who lives between SpongeBob’s and Patricks’ homes. Both Squidward and SpongeBob work at the Krusty Krab fast-food restaurant which is wned by Mr Krabs. The Krusty Krab’s rival restaurant is run by Sheldon Plankton a copepod. Sandra Cheeks is a squirrel and SpongeBob’s closest friend after Patrick.

Krusty Krab

The Krusty Krab is a fast-food restaurant and the most popular in Bikini Bottom. It is owned by Mr. Krabs who is cheap and greedy. SpongeBob works as the fry cook flipping “Krabby Patties”. Squidward Tentacles works as the cashier. Squidward despises SpongeBob and has difficulty working with him. Sheldon Plankton owns the rival restaurant across the street called the Chum Bucket. The Chum Bucket is a very unsuccessful business and Mr. Plankton is constantly plotting to steal Mr. Krabs’s secret recipe for his “Krabby Patties”.
